In 2019, I visited the Faroe Islands, a remote and stunning place in the North Atlantic Ocean.

I saw breathtaking landscapes, hiked and dealt with their ever-changing weather.

The islands are a haven for birdwatchers especially during the summer when millions of seabirds, including puffins flock to the cliffs to breed.
The Faroe Islands are home to more sheep than people. The islands have a population of around 50,000 people, but there are approximately 70,000 sheep.

The weather in the Faroe Islands can change rapidly. It’s not uncommon to experience all four seasons in one day. Fog is also a common occurrence, adding to the mystical atmosphere.
